Trepidation

Last Saturday I rode until the knee pain loudly suggested stopping. During the week I’ve done recommended rehab on my knee: ice, ibuprofen, rest. Rest included three days of cycling. Each of those felt better. Now I’m going to set out and see how much better.

Cindy stated “our approach to Yoga illustrates our approach to life” during some recent classes. I questioned that, comparing how I approach Yoga to how I approach problems at work. There the best times are when a problem presents itself. I sink into testing and analysis pushing against the unknowns, becoming invigorated with the challenge. Now, sitting on the couch prior to a ride to test my knee healing, I see the truth in her statement. I’m approaching the physical challenge timidly, with trepidation, stage fright for the audience of self. It’s time to go learn more about myself.
