My Comments:
By any reasonable measure, either percent of GDP or dollars per capita, the US spends more on health care than any other industrialized, modern nation. We spend at least 50% more. This places a tremendous drain on our competitiveness. We’re also the only country with our system of privately insured and paid for care – with the resulting patchwork of coverage that leaves too many Americans without access to needed care.
Help get US costs aligned with those of our competitors. Help get US, each and every citizen, access to care.
